Facilities at Crawley

Purpose-built in 2025, our Crawley practice is our largest, with four floors of dedicated small animal and exotic pet facilities and advanced diagnostics including CT scanner.

A welcome that is personalised to your pet

Our Crawley practice has been purposely and thoughtfully built so that every pet has a species appropriate experience of our facilities. The car park is large, flat and well lit, with disabled parking and step-free access throughout. Outside there is a sheltered area for those dogs who would much rather a little space and sniff around while they wait, and a dog stop for when you need an extra pair of hands.

Cats have their own dedicated entrance, leading to a separate cat waiting area with carrier shelves, blankets and calming spray, so they can avoid the sights and sounds of dogs from the moment they arrive, to align with Cat Friendly accreditation criteria. Our main entrance doors are automated, as part of our commitment to accessibility as well as a lift up to our wards and treatment areas.

Cats, dogs and exotic pets each have their own waiting areas and their own consulting rooms too. Our dog weighing scales are installed at ground level, removing the often scary step up for some nervous dogs.

Diagnosis and treatment, all in one place

Pet owners can have peace of mind knowing we have a large, modern treatment room, two theatres with advanced monitoring equipment, advanced diagnostics including endoscopy and a CT scanning suite and separate imaging and dental suites, all under one roof. This reduces the need for external referral and means we can accept non-client referrals from their registered vet practice. Our dental suite handles everything from a routine scale and polish to extractions, with more complex dentistry and oral surgery carried out at our East Grinstead practice.

Alongside this we have an extensive in-house laboratory, so our team can run a wide range of blood and urine tests in-house, reducing the need to send your pet’s sample to an external laboratory.

Exotic patients have an entire floor of their own, with facilities that reflect their more complex needs. It is also home to our Tortoise Hibernation Hotel. Quiet, and free of the noise and smells of cats and dogs, it is a place where exotic pets can be treated and receive inpatient care in an environment that best helps their recovery.

Space to recover

All wards are species specific. Our feline patients have their own ward, with extra-large glass-fronted kennels housing cat castles to hide in and climb on, plush vet beds, and toys for cats who enjoy a bit of mental stimulation. We follow cat friendly criteria, using calming music and pheromones to create the low-stress environment that aids rest and recovery.

We have two dog wards, one for smaller breeds and one for larger breeds who benefit from being able to walk into their kennels. All kennels have vet beds and blankets, with orthopaedic mattresses for senior dogs and any who would appreciate a little extra cushioning. A walk-in shower is on hand for patients who need a clean-up, and every ward has calming plug-ins, music and soft lighting.

Our wards are designed to give excellent comfort and care to all patients, particularly those staying overnight as inpatients. Each ward is mechanically ventilated and climate controlled. When it is time to go home, we hold discharge appointments in one of our consultation rooms rather than at a busy front desk, giving you a calm, private space to go through aftercare and ask any questions.
