I have worked in the Littlehampton area – Rustington to be exact – for over 25 years, having originally graduated from the University of Cambridge Veterinary School in 1991.
Having built up a large practice called Pet Doctors, I sold to a large corporate group called CVS Group in 2010, but continued to work for them, with my original hand-picked team, for the following 10 years.
The corporate way of doing things became increasingly bureaucratic, leading to a massive increase in overheads and extra managers, as well as an ever-increasing push for more profits.
Unfortunately this meant that routine veterinary care became increasingly expensive – the opposite of what I believe in. So I set up Stellar Vets to practice in the way I believe in.
I believe that small, local practices like Stellar Vets can provide a much more personal and friendly environment for our clients and their pets.
Not only that, but we can keep prices down while developing and improving our service, and I can ensure that I only bring on team members who have the same values as me – and who I think my clients will love.
I’m proud to be the founder of my practice, and I’m proud to be your vet.
We launched in the midst of the pandemic, opening our doors when other businesses were closing theirs.
We’re committed to being a positive presence in our community and work throughout the year to make Littlehampton a better place to live.
That includes initiatives from me judging our local dog show to our client happiness team going out of their way to drop off medication or pick up pets for our clients if they can’t get in to see us.
We’ve provided over £50,000 in discounts to local animal charities Worthing Cat Welfare Trust and Clymping Dog Sanctuary to support the invaluable work they do keeping local dogs and cats safe.
We’ve even coordinated donations for homeless pets at Christmas and sponsored our own local beehive.
This has helped us form a fantastic bond with our clients, which you can see from our hundreds of five star Google reviews. I was humbled to be voted as a finalist in the Petplan Vet of the Year awards in 2022, voted for by you, our lovely clients.
That’s why I know I made the right decision to start my own practice again, and to base myself in Littlehampton. I look forward to welcoming you to Stellar Vets soon.
